William Macdonald joins the Ledbetter Law Firm to bolster the healthcare, litigation and environmental practices. His years of legal experience have taught him the most successful approach to the practice is a client-centric focus. William takes great pride in finding innovative, winning and cost-effective solutions for the Firm’s Clients.
Prior to coming to Arizona, William was a legal analyst at the tort firm, Cascino Vaughan in Chicago, Illinois, Providing strategic analysis in toxic tort litigation. Within a year, William was selected for a leadership position managing the settlements department. His success in Chicago has translated to his other academic and professional endeavors.
Attending the University of Arizona, William was one of the few dual-degree graduates in his class, earning both a Juris Doctor and Master of Public Health. He achieved another leadership position as the Senior Managing Editor of the Arizona Journal of Environmental Law and Policy. He is also a self-starter, creating a Master’s project conducting the Community Health Needs Assessment for Little Colorado Medical Center in Winslow, Arizona.
William’s passion for the Verde Valley led him to write a thesis based on the legal and environmental issues facing the Verde River.
William has used his client-centered approach to successfully advocate for the Clients of University of Arizona’s labor law clinic. He argued in front of administrative law judges and successfully negotiated settlements on behalf of Clients.
William enjoys competitive bike racing and is an avid camper. One of his favorite experiences is going on long road trips across the American wilderness. He and his wife Amy, are pleased and honored to call Cottonwood home.
